Deficiencias funcionales de la reja costal en mujeres con ca de seno con manejo quirúrgico y de quimioterapia.: Revisión bibliográfica

Objective: Performing a literature review in order to understand the functional impairment of the chest wall in the treatment of breast cancer to determine the changes that affect the activities of daily living causing participation restrictions. Search strategy: A search of scientific articles in database between 1990 and 2013, which was revised Breast Cancer, its pathophysiology and rehabilitation after treatment was performed. The keywords were Breast cáncer, chest wall, functional impairment, rehabilitation. Selection of studies: 45 articles were obtained, of which only 9 were systematic reviews. This information is entered into a database that was used later in this document. Synthesis of results: Treatment for breast cancer has a negative effect on the mechanics of the chest wall due to the decrease in their functionality to the affected range of motion, tegumentary integrity, aerobic capacity, muscle strength, postural control and movement. We found that this has an impact on quality of life involving functional deficiencies that lead to a restriction of participation in the activities of daily living. Conclusions: In the analysis about Breast Cancer and movement restrictions were found, but there is a lack of information regarding the impact of treatment on ventilatory mechanics of chest wall, therefore, explains the need to investigate in this regard according to functional impairment.Objetivo: Realizar una revisión bibliográfica que permita ahondar en el conocimiento de las deficiencias funcionales de la reja costal en el tratamiento del cáncer de seno para determinar los cambios que inciden en el desempeño en las actividades de la vida diaria causando restricciones en la participación. Método de búsqueda: Se efectuó una busqueda de artículos científicos en bases de datos entre los años 1990 y 2013, en los que se reviso Cáncer de Seno, su patofisiología y rehabilitación después del tratamiento. Las palabras clave fueron Cáncer de Seno, reja costal, deficiencia funcional y rehabilitación. Selección de Estudios: Se obtuvieron 45 artículos, de los cuales solo 9 fueron revisiones sistemáticas. Se ingresó esta información en una base de datos que más tarde se utilizó en el presente documento. Síntesis de Resultados: El tratamiento para el cáncer de seno tiene un efecto negativo en la mecanica de la reja costal debido a la disminución en su funcionalidad al afectarse rangos de movimiento, integridad tegumentaria, capacidad aeróbica, desempeño muscular, control postural y circulación. Se encontró que esto tiene impacto en la calidad de vida implicando deficiencias funcionales que conllevan a una restricción de la participación en las actividades de la vida diaria. Conclusiones: En el análisis realizado se encontró información acerca del Cáncer de Seno y las restricciones de movimiento, pero hay un vacío de información respecto a las consecuencias del tratamiento en la mecánica ventilatoria de la reja costal, por esto, se expone la necesidad de investigar en este sentido acorde con las deficiencias funcionales

Compendio analítico de los trabajos de grado del Programa Académico de fonoaudiología Universidad del Valle, 1996 - 2008 : una directriz para el desarrollo investigativo.

Este libro es producto de una investigación documental, presenta una compilación analítica de los trabajos de grado realizados por los estudiantes del programa de Fonoaudiología de la Universidad del Valle, durante los años comprendidos entre 1996 y 2008, como un aporte a la trasferencia y apropiación social de conocimiento de campo, teniendo en cuenta que su contenido y difusión facilita la democratización del acceso y uso de conocimiento. En tal sentido, la publicación de este trabajo contribuye al fortalecimiento de comunidades académicas y científicas, pues no solamente se dirige a estudiantes, docentes e investigadores de fonoaudiología, sino de otras disciplinas con interés comunes, como la psicología, pedagogía, sociología, medicina, ciencias de la educación, filosofía, entre otras, lo cual propicia el trabajo con pares y favorece el posicionamiento de la fonoaudiología en el ámbito nacional

Dictionaries in the European Enlightenment: a testimony to the civilization of its time and the foundations of modern Europe

The text presents a plan for an international and multidisciplinary research project that is under preparation now and which is looking for collaborators from other universities or research centers. It aims to investigate the role that played monolingual, bilingual, and multilingual dictionaries published in the 18th century in the constitution of modern Europe as we know it now. It is well known that in the 18th century there appeared many dictionaries in various European countries. These dictionaries were mainly monolingual but there appeared many bilingual or plurilingual ones as well. They had a wide range of functions: linguistic (to write and understand texts), but also symbolic, representing the development and the level of civilization and prestige that a given language of culture had in times previous to 19th-century European linguistic nationalisms. Another aspect is text-oriented and text-based: the 18th-century dictionaries used to be built on relatively large sources of contemporary texts and they reflected the level of knowledge in various subjects. Therefore, they can be considered testimonies of contemporary linguistic thinking and the applied linguistics, but at the same time, they resume the development of science, legal thought, political science, etc., illustrating how knowledge spread in the Enlightenment at the international level. The project seeks to unite researchers dedicated to the linguistic historiography of philologies of European languages, historians of natural sciences, law, and social and political history, among other disciplines. It aims to offer a map of the intellectual and political globalization that began to take place in the 18th century as it is reflected in its dictionaries. The project currently counts with a small group of researchers from linguistic historiography of Romance languages. Researchers of the historiography of other European philologies are welcome and needed, and so are historians of natural and social sciences specialized in the 18th century. The main aim of the project is to stop working in parallel, horizontal and vertical, tunnels and to form a network, necessary for this type of transdisciplinary research
